Although affiliate marketing is a viable way to make a living online, is it possible to make a lot of money, in a short amount of time, by running marketing campaigns and driving traffic to commission websites? Promises that seem too good to be true often are, even though they seem appealing in the moment. Read my Commission Plan X review and decide for yourself if the claims the company makes are true.
Commission Plan X Quick Facts

Founder: Dylan Gardner
Program Intent: Affiliate Marketing Training
Price To Get Started: $67.00, which is reduced to $47.00, plus upsells
What Is Commission Plan X?
Commission Plan X is a training platform that teaches affiliate marketing. Supposedly, you’ll learn how to run marketing campaigns and earn commissions by funneling traffic to referral websites, without getting to choose what products you’ll be promoting. The training itself is incomplete in that it doesn’t teach strategies on how to generate traffic, a foundational aspect of internet marketing.
Representatives of the company promote ClickBank products using social media, specifically Facebook. In fact, true to form, Commission Plan X implements the same marketing ploys as similar companies on the internet, including outrageous claims, fake testimonials, incomplete training, and upsells. Check it out by googling “Commission Plan X”. You’ll be taken to their landing page where you can view a video presentation.
The video will try to draw you in and create a sense of urgency by stating that only a few slots are left so you must sign up now or you’ll miss out on a fabulous opportunity. This tactic is a common one to get potential buyers to make a decision quickly, while at the same time implying that the program is so popular that it’s almost sold out. Same old song and dance, they don’t get points for originality.
In the presentation, you’ll be informed that members are making thousands of dollars quickly by investing a mere 20 minutes a day working the program. Enter your name and email to view another video, this time an orientation video, which will further entice you to join by claiming that if you reserve your spot NOW, you’ll make close to 500 bucks a day.
How It Works
So what happens once you join the program? Well, you’ll be immediately hit with an upsell in the form of a program called Cool Links.
You’ll need to join this program if making money is your goal, which of course, it is.
Essentially, you’ll be promoting products on Clickbank, along with an accompanying article that is relevant to the product.
Cool Links enables you to place an affiliate link within said article. No affiliate link = No commissions. Basically you’ve been conned into joining Cool Links.
Commissions are earned when someone reads the article you posted, clicks on the link, and purchases the product. So it is possible to make money if one of your articles catches someone’s interest and they decide to buy what you’re promoting.
Articles are posted on Facebook, which isn’t the most ideal platform for selling in the first place. Think about it, how many people will even see your article, much less click on your link, with even a lesser probability of them actually making a purchase. And it’s most certainly going to take more than 20 minutes a day of your time to see sales. Any serious social media strategist can attest to this.
Guess what the best part is? Cool Links costs $35.00 a month, so in order to make money, you’re going to have to generate at least that amount in commissions a month to break even, and significantly more to make a profit. That, my friends, is the beauty of upselling.
Additionally, I’m a Clickbank affiliate, and I can tell you that making sales is not as easy as posting a single article with a link. Or even posting it several times. I’ve designed complete landing pages devoted to one single Clickbank product, which by the way, are not that easy to promote regardless, as conversions tend to be low. You have to work the system if you want it to work for you.
60-Day Money Back Guarantee: In my opinion, this is the only pro of joining Commissions Paid X. The guarantee does position the company as legitimate, although you won’t come close to earning the amount of money they claim you will.
You’ll likely learn some good marketing tactics in the training, but it won’t be comprehensive enough to be worth your time, even though you may make some commissions. I’m confident that your time can be better spent elsewhere.
Outrageous Claims: I’ve been an affiliate marketer for close to three years. From my vantage point, I can tell you that making hundreds of dollars a day, with a time investment of just 20 minutes a day, is not going to garner money.
Not even close. Affiliate marketing takes a considerable amount of time and dedication to start seeing financial gains commensurate to your efforts. No on can outsmart the system!
Inadequate training: My #1 recommended platform for affiliate marketing offers a comprehensive certification program with detailed lessons, along with tips on how to implement what you learned, PLUS you’ll have the support of people who are going through the same training.
A short, hour-long training isn’t going to cut it if you want to learn the necessary skills to build a thriving online business. Add to this the fact that traffic doesn’t just miraculously appear, rather you’re rewarded with traffic by putting in the necessary work.
Upsells: Upsells are part and parcel of these types of programs, with the initial fee to join always being low as a hook to get you to join. Then, once you do, surprise, you need to keep investing if you want to be successful. And since you’re already invested in the program, you’re likely to keep investing. In this case, the upsell is joining Cool Links.
Fake Testimonials: I think most of us can sniff out fake testimonials, except perhaps vulnerable people who are down on their luck financially. Vulnerability enables them to see what they want to see. These are the very people who need to be cautious, and are most likely the crowd these types of companies target.
Most testimonials come from paid actors, not people that have legitimately purchased and made money with the program. If you do some internet sleuthing, you’ll find that many of these exact actors endorse similar programs. They do this without directly saying the company’s name, which makes sense if they’re endorsing other programs.
Questions and Answers
1. Question: Is Commission Paid X a scam:
Answer: No, I don’t believe it’s a scam per se, because it is possible to make money with affiliate marketing. It’s these half truths that get people to sign up. Don’t bank on the duplicitous claims that you can make a lot of money quickly.
2. Question: Will I make “an absolute killing” like the owner says?
Answer: I’m confident that my post has already established the fact that no killing is going to be made by joining this company. You may pick up a few helpful tips, but the training isn’t going to be a springboard that catapults you into millionaire status.
3. Question: Is Commission Paid X a Clickbank product?
Answer: No, it’s not a Clickbank product, but rather a product of Click Better, a company known for their low-quality products.
4. Question: Who is Dylan Garner?
Answer: Mr. Gardner, unfortunately, is somewhat of a mystery person. Not much information can be found about him online, which I find curious if he truly is earning what he purports to. A lack of information about the company’s main representative doesn’t paint Commission Paid X in a favorable light.
