Representatives of the company promote ClickBank products using social media, specifically Facebook.In fact, true to form, Commission Plan X implements the same marketing ploys as similar companies on the internet, including outrageous claims, fake testimonials, incomplete training, and upsells. The video will try to draw you in and create a sense of urgency by stating that only a few slots are left so you must sign up now or you’ll miss out on a fabulous opportunity. This tactic is a common one to get potential buyers to make a decision quickly, while at the same time implying that the program is so popular that it’s almost sold out. Same old song and dance, they don’t get points for originality.
In the presentation, you’ll be informed that members are making thousands of dollars quickly by investing a mere 20 minutes a day working the program. Enter your name and email to view another video, this time an orientation video, which will further entice you to join by claiming that if you reserve your spot NOW, you’ll make close to 500 bucks a day.
How It Works
So what happens once you join the program? Well, you’ll be immediately hit with an upsell in the form of a program called Cool Links.
You’ll need to join this program if making money is your goal, which of course, it is.
Essentially, you’ll be promoting products on Clickbank, along with an accompanying article that is relevant to the product.
Cool Links enables you to place an affiliate link within said article. No affiliate link = No commissions. Basically you’ve been conned into joining Cool Links.
Commissions are earned when someone reads the article you posted, clicks on the link, and purchases the product. So it is possible to make money if one of your articles catches someone’s interest and they decide to buy what you’re promoting.
Articles are posted on Facebook, which isn’t the most ideal platform for selling in the first place. Think about it, how many people will even see your article, much less click on your link, with even a lesser probability of them actually making a purchase. And it’s most certainly going to take more than 20 minutes a day of your time to see sales. Any serious social media strategist can attest to this.
Guess what the best part is? Cool Links costs $35.00 a month, so in order to make money, you’re going to have to generate at least that amount in commissions a month to break even, and significantly more to make a profit. That, my friends, is the beauty of upselling.
Additionally, I’m a Clickbank affiliate, and I can tell you that making sales is not as easy as posting a single article with a link. Or even posting it several times. Fake scarcity and fake testimonials are a big turn off for me and whenever I come across a product with fake anything I always prefer to stay away from it. Also, their claims are really hard to digest.
