Affiliate marketers, by nature, are travelers because we can work from anywhere in the world. All we need is a laptop and an internet connection to do business. Luggage can take a beating, especially on international flights. It needs to be tough, durable, and hold up under duress. If your suitcases are showing signs of wear or are on their last leg, you’ll definitely want to check out the best luggage sets for international travel.
If you’ve ever had a zipper on your suitcase break en route, you know what a hassle it can be. Recently, this mishap happened to me, and it just about ruined my trip! Never again will I use luggage that won’t hold up!
Before purchasing a luggage set, determine what features are important to you. Consider these:
How many cases are in the set?
How big is each case?
Is the luggage soft or hard shell?
Does the luggage have wheels?
What colors are available?
How many interior compartments do the cases have?
Is the price affordable?
Does the luggage set meet airline specifications?
Number Of Compartments
If you’re traveling internationally, you’ll probably require a minimum of two good-sized suitcases, if not three. Luggage sets come in various sizes and shapes, so begin my determining how many suitcases you’ll need. The size of the case is an important factor. Do you want three good-sized cases, or just one large one with two smaller ones, which could include a duffel bag, garment bag, backpack, or briefcase. Some soft-shelled suitcases even convert into a backpack. Keep in mind all of these features when choosing a luggage set.
Size And Shape
Airlines typically allow for checked bags to be no larger than 62 inches total, including the width, height, and depth of all your bags, and don’t forget that this includes suitcase handles and wheels. International flight rules may differ from domestic flights so be sure and check with your airline beforehand to find out what their weight and size requirements are. You don’t want any surprises when you get to the airport!
Wheels Or No Wheels
Can I just say that if you’re flying internationally, do yourself a big favor, and don’t even consider buying luggage without wheels. You’ll, most likely, be spending a lot of time in different airports, and you’ll be doing a lot of walking. And, of course, you’ll be tired because you’re jet lagged. Save your back and your energy by getting wheeled luggage. Most suitcases come with either two or four wheels. Two-wheeled cases fit better in an overhead compartment. Also, make sure that the extendable handles on your luggage pull in and out with ease. If they’re the least bit temperamental, it will drive you crazy.
Soft Or Hard Shelled
Also, decide if you want soft or hard-shelled luggage. They both have their advantages and disadvantages. A hard shelled case may be better if you have breakables that you’re worried about getting broken, but you can cram more into a soft-shell suitcase. This could be a problem, however, when it comes to weight restrictions as your bag may be too heavy, and you don’t want to be slapped with a fine. I would advise you to carry fragile items in your carry-on bag where you can keep an eye on them. Make sure the zippers are durable. If a zipper breaks, your luggage is virtually useless.
Internal Compartments And Color
I travel with a lot of stuff so internal compartments are important to me because I like my personal items organized. Most suitcases have external zipper pockets, which I think are handy so check for those. And then there’s the color. I like bright-colored cases because I can easily spot them, but they do get dirtier. And obviously, you’ll want to choose a set that won’t break the bank. Look around for deals you can afford. That’s the purpose of this review. Let’s get at it!

Thanks for sharing this list of suggestions for your thoughts on the best luggage sets for international travel.
I loved the look of the distressed leather bag that was shown when I first came to the page.
Yet, the Lilly Bloom set is my favorite set of the options that you shared. With this set, it is unique enough that it should be very easy to spot your bags when it is time to pick them up in the luggage return area. It would also be easy to spot your bag when you are ready to pull it out of the overhead compartments.
When I am tired at the end of a flight, I place a high value on being able to spot my bags quickly….
