Clicks Genie Review [Can YOU Make Money Reading Emails?]

The internet is rife with scams. The reality of the situation can make it difficult to decipher which programs are legitimate and which ones are a waste of time. In my Clicks Genie review, I’ll be outlining both the pros and cons of this web-based company that pays people to read advertising emails. Find out if this is a profitable platform to partner with.

Get Paid To Read Emails

On the surface, getting paid to read emails is rather appealing, because how hard is it to read an email, right? Like many claims on the internet, it seems like a pretty straightforward way to make money, and since there are viable ways to earn money online, this claim is not unreasonable. Read an email, get paid, rinse and repeat.

So the more in-depth question should be: “Can you make enough money reading emails to make it worth your time?”

What Is Clicks Genie?

Clicks Genie is a PTR service, which stands for “get-paid-to-read.” There are many varieties of these types of services, including PTC (paid-to-click) sites that pay their representatives based on the number of links they click. Specifically, as stated above, if you decide to partner with Clicks Genie, you’ll get paid to read emails.

You can easily get started with PTR and PTC services as they require no skills or previous work experience. While this seems like a good thing on the surface, unfortunately, the payout is nothing to write home about. However, just because this type of earning model is negligible, doesn’t necessarily position Clicks Genie in the scam category.

I guess you need to ask yourself if you enjoy reading emails and clicking links, and if this type of work is sustainable for you. For me personally, although I love to read, I need to be learning pertinent information in the process or it isn’t worth my time. Time is our most precious commodity.

Note the company’s total payout and total members in the screenshot below. Apparently, they have members from all over the world. Instant payouts, at a minimum of $0.01 are offered, along with several different payment options, including BitCoin, FaucetPay, PerfectMoney, and Payeer. How excited are you about a total payout of $0.01?

More Facts

Essentially, which is typical of PTR and PTC programs, readers bridge the gap between advertisers and the company who is trying to recruit members. Many online programs use this model. This is how it works: Clicks Genie gets paid to send advertising emails to their readers, whose job it is to click on links contained within the emails. The reader then receives a portion of the advertising revenue paid to Clicks Genie.

Clicks Genie offers a referral system, which enables their employees to earn additional income on top of reading emails, when they refer others to the platform. This is similar to how MLMs work. Employees make a percentage based off the income their referrals generate.

The referral system is comprised of five levels: first generation referrals receive 100% commissions, second generation referrals earn 70% in commissions, third generation referrals  – 60% commission, fourth generation referrals – 50% commission, and fifth generation referrals earn 40% in commissions.

Although, referrals are an additional way to make money, the amount you make is basically pittance. Sounds good on the surface, but it isn’t going to pan out in practicality – meaning you’re going to have to generate a boatload of referrals to make any significant money.

Steps To Get Started

1. Begin by clicking the green “Register” button on Clicks Genie’s homepage. Fill out the required boxes. You‘ll need to choose a username, and have a gmail email address, which I found slightly annoying. Note also your referrer number for future reference. Click the Terms of Service box and you’re good to go.

2. Next, go to your inbox and activate your account by clicking the link in the email that was sent. Then log in to your Clicks Genie account, and verify it by providing the verification code that was sent. FYI, your account will be deactivated if you fail to sign in at least once every 15 days. Once you’ve provided your verification code, you’ll see your account dashboard, along with your referral URL:

3. Create an account with one of the payout companies if you don’t already have one. It’s inconvenient that they don’t offer PayPal as an option. C’mon folks – everyone and their dog has a PayPal account.

4. Now all you have to do is wait for the emails to show up. Once you receive one, read it and click on the links. You must read the email in its entirety because apparently each email that is sent must be viewed for a certain period of time, which ranges anywhere from 30 seconds to a minute. Adhere to this or you won’t get paid. Also don’t close the window until you’re alerted to do so.

5. Once you’ve completed these steps, you’ll see a message notifying you that the payment is now in your dashboard. Pretty simple, right? What would be really great is if you could actually make a living doing this!

Pros

✅  1. Easy To Get Started

Anyone can get started working for Clicks Genie. All you have to do is register and verify your information – no experience or skills are required.

✅  2. The Work Is Not Complicated

Reading and clicking links in emails is not complicated. In fact, it’s totally mindless work. Maybe some people like simple. Not me, I need to have some degree of mental stimulation, rather than just carrying out mindless, tedious tasks. However, the non-complexity of the work may be a plus for some people.

✅  3. The Ability To Work From Anywhere

The ability to work from anywhere in the world is always a bonus no matter what field of work you’re in. And all you need is a computer or phone, along with an internet connection.

✅  4. Short Emails

The first thing I noticed upon receiving mail is that the emails are short, which is a big deal if you’re going to be reading advertisements day in and day out as your means of making money.

Red Flags

? 1. Who Are The Owners?

I can’t find any information about the owners on Clicks Genie’s website. Who are they and why the secrecy? The answer to this question is fairly obvious. Who would want their name and reputation affiliated with a platform that doesn’t pay their members well?

? 2. The Referral System Is Faulty

Referrals can be a great secondary way of making money, but in this case, the amount of money you can potentially make in relation to the referrals you bring in, is not worth your time and effort. In my opinion, this sends a direct message to those working for Clicks Genie that the company doesn’t value their services. Basically, it’s slave labor.

Additionally, it’s stated in the FAQs section that there is no limit to what you can make via referrals, and that it’s possible to make 320% commission revenue from every referral. Hmmmm, I doubt it.

? 3. A Payout Of $0.01 – Really?

Even though Clicks Genie isn’t technically a scam, it’s a very sub-par way to make money. In fact, the payout is so low it’s laughable! How can the payout number in the screenshot at the top of this review be accurate? Or the number of total members? They say that it’s possible to make $0.042 an email, which is bad enough, but the real story is it’s more like $0.01. You‘d have to click on 100 links just to make $1.00.

? 4. No Information About The Advertisers?

Another red flag is that I can’t find any info about who the advertisers are, They are, after all, an important part of the sales process because that’s how Clicks Genie gets paid, along with its member  How many advertisers are there? Do they have varying payouts? This is pertinent information that readers should have access to.

? 5. The Amount Of Emails You Receive Per Day Is Not Consistent

The work is not consistent in terms of how many emails you’ll have access to per day, making it hard to gauge how much of your time will be required on any given day. This wouldn’t work for me as I’m a planner and like my time scheduled.

? 6. Where Are All The Glowing Reviews?

Where are all the positive reviews if this company is so profitable to work for?  If the members are satisfied, you would think that numerous testimonials would be plastered front and center for all to see. But then again, would you write a glowing review if you made a whopping one cent per email?

Final Opinion

I’m a huge proponent of working online. The pros far outweigh the cons, but sadly, this doesn’t apply to Clicks Genie. The platform most definitely does not warrant your time, which is far more valuable than reading emails for pennies. If you’re serious about starting an online business, partner with a reliable platform in which the owners are transparent, and where top-notch training and the blueprint for building a thriving business on the internet are provided.

  1. Hello,

This was a really interesting article. You clearly explained all the information one needs to know about Clicks Genie. The pros and cons were particularly useful.

It does seem hard to make a decent amount of money by clicking on emails. As you say it doesn’t help that they don’t use PayPal as most people would have to set up a new account to receive any payment.

    Best wishes,

    Cameron

    • Hi Cameron,

Thanks for reading my post. I try my best to provide honest evaluations of potential scams on the internet. Yep, it’s pretty difficult to make money clicking on links in emails. Plus, there is no information to be found about the owners or the advertisers.

Additionally, I found it rather annoying that PayPal wasn’t an option as that is most people’s payment method of choice. Too many concerns to make Click Genie worth your while. I appreciate your comment:)

  2. Thank you for researching Clicks Genie. There are so many platforms like this. You can make money from it but not a great amount. It seems to be either no profitability or it’s a scam. I can’t seem to find anything that really is genuine and pays more than £5 per day. Q-mee is similar in the sense that you do surveys and then get paid like 30p for 30 mins of work.

    • Hi Robert,

Thanks for reading my review. Yes, there are many similar programs online. While it is possible to earn a little money with these programs, it’s not a sustainable business model because the profit margin is so low. Unfortunately, it’s hard to find platforms that pay generously for one’s time. I haven’t heard of Q-mee. I do know that there are a variety of survey sites on the internet.

My #1 recommended resource for getting started online is Wealthy Affiliate. You get so much more than what you pay for, which is a rarity these days. Check it out if you’re looking to get an online business up and running this year. Thanks for your comment:)

  3. Hi there,

If there are multiple levels of commissions for every active referral you bring in, does that mean this is a Multi-level Marketing Company? On reading more, it just doesn’t seem to be a real deal.

Most of what I have read screams “scam” to me. And PayPal is not an option for payment, which is about the only secure way of keeping both parties safe and secure in receiving money. There are just too many red flags, and even if they are free to join, I will not be wasting my time with them. I think they are joking and conning the unsuspecting.

    Thanks for the warning.

    • Hello,

Although, Clicks Genie isn’t an MLM, their referral system operates similarly to multi-level marketing companies, except that the pay doesn’t make it worth your time and effort to bring in referrals. At least, MLMs are generous regarding referrals because that is how their members climb the ranks and make money.

Yes, not offering PayPal as a payment option is not a smart move, due to its popularity, convenience, and the security it provides. I agree, there are too many red flags with this company. Sadly, many people that desperately need money and want to work online will fall prey to these types of programs, and even though they’re free to join, it’s still not worth it. It’s best to move on.

Thanks so much for reading and commenting:)

    • It would be awesome, wouldn’t it, if you could get paid for doing what you love – namely, reading?!!! Unfortunately, Clicks Genie isn’t a profitable program. Check out Wealthy Affiliate. It’s by far the best platform if you want to build an online business. And the best part is you can incorporate your love of reading into the building process.

Thanks so much for reading and commenting:)
